The Closet was founded in June of 2010 by Hadeer Soliman, who saw a need in the market for a store appealing specifically to the equally fashion-conscious and budget-conscious woman. From this observation came the “clean up your closet” concept to assist ladies in financing their new must-haves by selling their pre-loved items.

June of 2010 is when the seed for The Closet was planted. From humble beginnings as an online-only store, selling through Facebook and Souq.com, it took just four months for the boutique to launch its first official online store. In 2013, The Closet grew further by opening its first retail shop in Jumeirah Centre, Dubai, which was followed by another branch (no pun intended) that opened in Sunset Mall in 2014. In addition to our two branches in The United Arab Emirates, we also opened a branch in Egypt in 2018, which was followed by our store in Abu Dhabi in 2020. We've built a stellar reputation as the best in the business by following a three-pronged recipe for success—honesty, honesty, and honesty. We are big-city glamour-meets-small-town authenticity.

Behind the phenomenal Hadir is an equally impressive man, Jamal, who has always been a vocal supporter of big dreams. In 2014, he resigned from large aluminum producer EGA to join Hadir in running The Closet. Together, they form a powerful team. His day-to-day work centers around finance and expansion decisions, complementing Hadir's focus on product marketing and authentication. Bringing with him a breadth of knowledge gained from working for EGA in the aluminum production industry, Jamal has proven himself invaluable to the success of the boutique. Because of Jamal, The Closet was able to expand to a second location in Sunset Mall and beyond the borders of UAE into Egypt.
